Our client is seeking a full-time, senior-level professional to join their growing HR and consulting firm as a strategic partner to the Owner. This individual will play a central role in driving operational excellence, leading a high-performing remote team, and delivering exceptional service to clients.


Location & Work Model:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Primarily remote, based in Nova Scotia or Newfoundland & Labrador (open to candidates in PEI or New Brunswick)
  • Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, with core collaboration hours from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Atlantic).

About the Role

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted leadership role for someone who brings both strategic and hands-on capability across HR consulting, recruitment, and people operations. The successful candidate will act as the key support to the Owner providing leadership, structure, and accountability to ensure the smooth delivery of client projects and internal operations.

They will be responsible for managing a team of consultants and employees, overseeing day-to-day business operations, and supporting financial and proposal development. This individual must be entrepreneurial, business-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and collaboration is key. Previous experience managing billable time and client deliverables is required

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3 contractors and 4 direct reports, fostering a collaborative, people-first culture
  • Lead the management of client relationships, business development activities, and project delivery
  • Support proposal writing, budgeting, billing accuracy, and tracking of billable time
  • Oversee client service delivery for HR and recruitment projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
  • Collaborate with the training and consulting teams to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to business strategy and continuous improvement initiatives with an innovative, growth-oriented mindset

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Background in HR, consulting, and people leadership, with client-facing experience
  • Strong business acumen with comfort around financials, billing processes, and proposals
  • Demonstrated operational and team leadership skills, able to manage workloads, priorities, and performance across a remote team
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive approach—comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and taking ownership
  • Excellent communicator who is personable, flexible, and highly available to both clients and team members
  • Thrives in a tight-knit, collaborative, and people-first culture
