Front Counter Sales Representative / Service Advisor
Position Overview
The Front Counter Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with tire and automotive service inquiries, preparing quotes, scheduling appointments, and coordinating communication between customers and technicians. The role ensures a smooth service experience from customer arrival through vehicle pickup.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers in person and over the phone
- Assist customers with tire, maintenance, and repair inquiries
- Provide clear explanations of services and recommendations
- Maintain a professional and welcoming front counter environment
Sales & Service Coordination
- Prepare quotes for tires, services, and repairs
- Recommend appropriate products and services based on customer needs
- Convert inquiries into booked appointments and completed sales
- Process transactions and invoices
Scheduling & Operations
- Schedule service appointments
- Coordinate workflow between customers and technicians
- Review work orders and communicate service updates to customers
- Order parts or tires needed for upcoming appointments
Customer Communication
- Update customers on service status and timelines
- Explain additional work required after technician inspection
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive service experience
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of services and transactions
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries
- Ensure the front desk and customer waiting area remain organized and professional
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to explain technical automotive information in simple terms
- Sales or retail experience preferred
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Comfortable using scheduling and point-of-sale systems
- Automotive knowledge is considered an asset but not required
Pay Range
- $20 per hour, depending on experience
