We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality projects safely, on time, and on budget. As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading all on-site construction activities, coordinating trades, maintaining schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and driving project success from mobilization through completion.


What You'll Do

Site Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead day-to-day site operations for commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use construction projects. 
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders. 
  • Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. 
  • Maintain a strong and visible leadership presence on-site. 
  • Conduct daily site meetings and communicate project priorities effectively. 

Schedule & Project Execution

  • Develop and manage detailed construction schedules. 
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address potential delays. 
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure project milestones are achieved. 
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to manage project timelines and budgets. 
  • Identify and resolve site issues before they impact project delivery. 

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a strong safety culture across all projects. 
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company safety policies. 
  • Conduct site safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments. 
  • Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional worksite. 

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor workmanship and ensure all work meets quality expectations. 
  • Coordinate deficiency tracking and resolution. 
  • Participate in project close-out activities and turnover processes. 
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date. 

Team Leadership

  • Build strong working relationships with trades, clients, consultants, and internal teams. 
  • Mentor and support junior site staff and field personnel. 
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement on-site. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Site Supervisor in the construction industry. 
  • Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, institutional, multi-residential, or mixed-use projects. 
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination. 
  • Solid knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and building codes. 
  • Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting tools. 
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites. 

Preferred Assets

  • Red Seal Trade Certification, Construction Management Diploma, Engineering Technology, or related education. 
  • First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS, and Occupational Health & Safety training. 
  • Experience managing projects valued at $5M+.
