About the Role

Our client is a busy, customer-focused automotive shop looking for a Front Counter Sales & Service Advisor to be the face of the business.

This role is a mix of customer service, sales, and operations — you’ll be the connection between customers and technicians, ensuring work is clearly communicated, efficiently scheduled, and delivered with a strong customer experience.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both helping customers and driving sales.

You will play a key role in:

  • Managing incoming customers
  • Recommending services and products
  • Keeping the shop organized and running smoothly

What Success Looks Like

  • Customers feel welcomed, informed, and taken care of
  • Work orders are accurate and clearly communicated to technicians
  • Opportunities to upsell services and products are identified and executed
  • The front counter runs efficiently, even during peak tire seasons
  • Strong repeat business and customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet customers and manage front counter interactions
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries
  • Provide clear explanations of services, timelines, and pricing

Sales & Service Advising

  • Recommend tires, services, and maintenance based on customer needs
  • Upsell additional services where appropriate
  • Prepare quotes and convert inquiries into booked work

Scheduling & Work Orders

  • Book appointments and manage shop scheduling
  • Create and manage work orders
  • Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure smooth workflow

Operations Support

  • Maintain organized records and customer information
  • Support day-to-day shop operations
  • Assist in keeping the front area professional and efficient

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or automotive service advising
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Sales mindset with the ability to recommend and close services
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Reliable and team-oriented
  • Automotive or tire knowledge is an asset (but not required)

Additional Details

  • Full-time hours, including some evenings and weekends
  • Competitive hourly rate + opportunity for performance-based incentives
